Release of additional instalment of Dearness Allowance to central government employees and Dearness Relief to pensioners, due from 1.7.2013

The Union Cabinet yesterday gave its approval to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to central government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners with effect from 01.07.2013 at the rate of 10 percent over the existing rate of 80 percent. 

1)Shortly DA would cross 100 percent. Once again, all allowances would enhance by 25%

2) Ban on creation of posts, purchase of vehicles, cut in air travel, no change in LTC Air-travel entitlement etc. under economy measures
